"Greeted as a Friend & Treated Like Family"
Dr. Judd Weinberg (Owner and Doctor
of Chiropractc Medicine)
Dr. Judd Weinberg DC's journey to being the chiropractor/owner of Active Life & Health Center started while in high school. As a teenager, Dr. Judd was a very competitive track & field athlete. The stress on his body during that time caused Dr. Judd to suffer from low back pain as well as a variety of leg injuries. After trying many traditional medical approaches unsuccessfully, Dr. Judd found relief under the care of a chiropractor, who was the first doctor able to treat the injuries. This was the the first of many chiropractic success stories Dr. Judd has seen first hand.
Following high school, Dr. Judd attended the University of Delaware. While continuing to compete in athletics for the school's club volleyball team, as well as the school's club ultimate frisbee, team Dr. Judd achieved a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. Upon graduation from the University of Delaware, Dr. Judd immediately enrolled in Life University to pursue a Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic Medicine. While at Life University he also served as the President of the Thompson Adjusting Club, and co-authored the Thompson Adjustment Manual that is still in use at the school today.
Upon graduation from Life University Dr. Judd returned to his home state of NJ. For two years he practiced in a chiropractic office specializing in problems caused by sports injury. Dr. Judd worked with many professional athletes including professional boxers, NFL football players, UFC fighters, professional ballet dancers, and professional wrestlers. At that time Dr. Judd also served as the chiropractor for the East Coast Professional Wrestling Association.
Allthough Dr. Judd learned a great deal during his time in NJ, he missed Atlanta and all it has to offer. Dr. Judd decided to move back in 2004 in order to follow his professional goal of a practice devoted to a more wellness based approach to health. Dr Judd has said, "The primary focus is always on freeing the body from interference in the nervous system, and allowing the joints and muscles to work properly. Whether you are working on a highly trained athlete, or someone's grandmother the goal remains the same. To help a person return their body to the highest degree of function possible. That will allow them to have the most active life possible and that is the goal everyone wants."
When not in the office Dr. Judd can be found enjoying an active lifestyle, and all that Atlanta has to offer. Playing tennis, golf, or a host of other sports, hiking, enjoying cultural events, or cooking a healthy meal are all things you will find Dr. Judd participating in on a regular basis.
